In this 10-part series, lecturer Jim Levey will examine China’s history, philosophies, and traditions from ancient times through the present to better understand the underlying forces that explain China today. Copies of the syllabus are available at the Reference Desk.
Presenter Bio: Formerly a partner at American China Mercantile and Senior Manager at IBM and Amdocs, Jim holds a Masters in China Studies from the Asian Institute, St. John’s University and has travelled to China extensively on business.  In 2018, he researched and wrote a new curriculum (reviewed by China experts at Columbia) to enable a more insightful view of “China in the Modern World.”
