If you had borrowed any books, DVDs, or other library materials that were damaged due to flooding and leaks caused by Hurricane Ida, we ask that you please take the following steps in order to prevent damage to other items due to mold:
Take photos of the front cover and library barcode, verifying that the barcode says the name of the owning library and that the number beneath the barcode is clearly visible, as per the photo below.
Email us at irvref@wlsmail.org with copies of the photos, as well as a message stating your name and your library card number.
As soon as you get a response from a member of our staff confirming that your email was received, dispose of the damaged item. We will make a note on your library card record, and notify you of the cost of replacement for insurance purposes.
